The squads for the Euro 2024 teams, which kicks off on June 15, are being announced one by one.
Let’s take a look at another main contender for the title.

Since their dramatic victory in 2016, most of the members from that era have now left. 

Now, it's an opportunity for the remaining members to give their last hurrah while new wonderkids rise to the occasion.

Notable Features

 

Regardless of their current form and skill, the fact that Ronaldo and Pepe are still being called up is surprising and admirable. 

These two players, both nearing 40, might be making their last appearance, although there's a significant chance they could continue.

 

The squad's balance is quite good. 

From the attack to midfield, defense, and goalkeepers, there are no significant weaknesses in the lineup.

 

If there's a risk, it's the coach. 

During his tenure with the Belgian national team, he managed a golden generation but failed to achieve any significant success. 

His appointment as Portugal's coach was initially doubtful, but since taking over, his win rate has been very high (86%). 

However, the real test begins now.

 

 

Personal Predicted Starting Lineup

 

Goalkeeper: 22. Diogo Costa (FC Porto)
He is a young but outstanding goalkeeper, coveted by many top clubs. 

Not only is he excellent at making saves, but he is also very good with his feet, making him essential for build-up play.

 

Left Fullback: 20. Joao Cancelo (Barcelona)
The move from Manchester City to Barcelona was purely due to conflict with the coach, not a question of ability. He still maintains his skill level.

 

Left Center-back: 4. Ruben Dias (Manchester City)
He hasn't maintained great form this season at Man City. 

If he can't find his form in the Euros, he might lose his starting spot.

 

Right Center-back: 14. Goncalo Inacio (Sporting CP)
A young center-back who is attracting attention in the Portuguese league. 

He has decent kicking skills, is good at long passes, and occasionally dribbles forward himself.

 

Right Fullback: 5. Diogo Dalot (Manchester United)
Without Dalot, Manchester United would have faced more problems this season. 

Dalot seems to have fully stepped up and is likely to be a difficult player to exclude from the starting lineup.

 

Defensive Midfielder: 6. Joao Palhinha (Fulham)
A defensive midfielder targeted by Bayern Munich, he possesses excellent first-line defensive abilities. 

His tackling, pressing, and contesting skills are very good.

 

Left Midfielder: 23. Vitinha (Paris Saint-Germain)
Without Vitinha, PSG would have had significant issues this season. 

Particularly in Champions League matches, Vitinha was the only one who performed his role, and more.

 

Right Midfielder: 8. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)
He has everything a midfielder should have: work rate, dedication, key passes, etc. 

It's amazing how he never seems to tire despite the amount he runs.

 

Left Winger: 17. Rafael Leao (AC Milan)
Although he's slightly dipped from the peak form of last season, he still maintains his class. 

His animalistic athleticism makes him excellent at dribbling.

 

Right Winger: 10. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)
There are many other wingers, but I would rather place Silva as a winger. 

Even though he's a midfielder, he's excellent in wide play.

 

Striker: 9. Goncalo Ramos (Paris Saint-Germain)
Since his loan move to PSG, he hasn't shone as brightly as he did at Benfica. 

He needs to overcome this phase to become a top-level striker.
